Sumit Vij is Consultant on the Living with Climate Change Project in the Rural Research Center, S M Sehgal Foundation. Sumit holds a Masters degree in Sustainable Development Practices from TERI University, and has done his bachelor’s in Chemistry from KM College, University of Delhi. He also holds a degree in development Management from Tata-Dhan Academy, a collaborative effort of Sir Ratan Tata Trust and DHAN Foundation. Before joining S M Sehgal Foundation, he served the National Dairy Development Board, Ministry of Agriculture. His research interest lies in environmental governance and he brings special emphasizes on sustainable development in the research through an integrated understanding on perspectives of economic, social, political, and environmental significance. Concerning LCC, Sumit is responsible for designing, planning, and the implementation of the project in semi-arid sites of India. He has designed the research methodology integrating the socio cognitive framework to capture community perspectives for the semi-arid sites.
