Jane E. Schukoske is Chief Executive Officer of S M Sehgal Foundation, a trust established in India in 1999. A lawyer, Jane practiced law with offices providing free civil legal services to low income people and communities in the Virginia, taught law and directed an Environmental Justice Project and a Community Development Clinic at University of Baltimore School of Law.  She was a Fulbright Scholar at University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1995-96. In India, she served as Director of U.S. Educational Foundation in India (Fulbright Commission) from 2000-08 and as Advisor to the planners of O.P. Jindal Global University from 2008-09. She joined Sehgal Foundation as CEO in July 2011 to strengthen community-led development initiatives in rural India. She promotes community-university engagement. She holds a B.A. from Boston University, J.D. from Vanderbilt University and an LL.M. from Georgetown University.
