Originally from the Southern part of India, Ashok completed his graduate in Environmental science from Bharathiar University. Currently he is pursuing second master’s degree in Sustainability management at university of waterloo. His research interest is to understand how climate change affects the local fishing communities in India. It particularly focuses on local ecological knowledge, social-ecological changes and adaptation in the local fishing communities.
